Still Waters
“He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul”
Psalms 23:2-3
As we are seeking to point people to Him, we want to invite you to be a part of our Still Waters program. Still Waters is designed for those in ministry who are looking for a time of silence & solitude including personal reflection time, prayer, Bible study, or just to get away for a day or two. It is our way of saying thank you for all that you do in ministry. We want to come alongside those in the trenches.
God tells us in Psalms 23 to come apart and rest awhile as He leads us “beside still waters”. In your daily routine there is always one more phone call to make, one more fire to put out, one more person to reach — one more, one more, one more… We would love to provide a time where God can renew your soul and you can rest in His presence.
If you are interested in coming away to Still Waters, please email Amanda Franks. Let her know you are requesting the “Still Waters” program and she can work with you on potential dates. You may stay one or two nights in a cabin which is complete with a queen bed (linens included), private bath, microwave, mini-fridge, and coffeemaker. The cabin is not equipped with a phone or television. The program is available most weeks Sunday through Thursday night, except during the summer. Some weekends are possible, but many are used by our ongoing programs.
Early morning experiences can leave an indelible impression on your mind and heart. Early mornings are the best time because the day is pristine-fresh and nothing has spoiled it.
Sunrises (especially if watched before the sun actually rises) carry the strong spiritual theme of “putting the Kingdom first” (Matt 6:33). Jesus did say that as we put first things first, the rest of what we need will be given as well.
Take time for silence and solitude before anything else pulls you away. As we allow the Spirit to refresh and influence us, we receive insight, wisdom, clarity and courage to not only face the challenges ahead, but face them with peace and boldness
