Adventure School at Camp Peniel is geared towards homeschool families and accommodates 1st to 8th grade students. The goal of this program is to allow these campers to connect with like-minded peers through fun camp activities, Bible studies and more!
What to Expect:
Every session of Adventure School will be packed with brand new adventures for your student to experience. Each session will likely include one camp skill (like archery, fishing, or riflery), go on one high ropes activity (like zip line, gym swing or rock wall), and an interactive Bible Study lesson. In the last month of each semester, we have had special guest speakers including firefighters, a nurse and a reptile show. You will receive more information about the specific schedule a week prior to your upcoming session.
Common Questions:
Q: Should I pack lunch for my camper?
A: You don’t have to! Lunch will be provided by camp. We are happy to accommodate any allergies if you communicate those in advance. If you would like to pack snacks or a back-up lunch (for any picky or sensitive eaters), feel free to do so!
Q: What time is drop-off and pick-up?
A: The program runs from 8:00-3:30. Please let us know if you are running more than 15 minutes late to drop off so we can let you know where to catch up with the group!
Q: Should I pack homework for my student?
A: Since we have scaled back our Adventure School program from weekly to monthly sessions, we try to pack in as much camp fun as we can! Because of this, we no longer have time specifically designated for homework. Many campers still bring a book/sketchbook to read or draw when we have free time.
