Camp Peniel is not
interested in mere trail rides as the sole purpose
for horses existing at Camp. God, in His infinite
knowledge, has provided us with a vision we have
only begun to tap. The potential is exciting!
We are planning to develop
our Horse Program into its very own camps,
which would focus on Christian leadership principles, and use horses as tools to show how these principles work. In this way, we will be able to reach children for eternity, and use God's gift of horses to its fullest potential.

Mother/Daughter Horse Camp - April 3-5, 2009 or May 8-10
Camp
Peniel’s Equestrian Directors (and friends) are hosting a
Mother/ Daughter horseback weekend! The focus of the weekend
will be COMMUNICATION. Mothers and daughters will spend
about 9-10 hours total with the horses over the course of
the weekend, learning together how to saddle, bridle, ride,
and handle horses. Mother/daughter pairs will be encouraged
to work together with the horses and on their bible lessons
and devotions.
Highlights
of the weekend include horse devotions, LOTS of time spent
with the horses, learning to control your horse, and a group
trail ride to the famous Camp Peniel breakfast cookout.
There will also be time for swimming (weather permitting),
horsey-type crafts, and rest.
Sorry,
but weight limit is 225 lbs.
Girls must
be 9 or older (no exceptions) to participate. |

Family Cowboy
Weekend - October
3 - 5
Saddle up
for the ultimate Christian cowboy/cowgirl experience for
everyone in your family! During the Camp Peniel Family
Cowboy Weekend, your family will ride out on the horses, set
up the campsite, and camp away from the cabins with the
horses! There will be cowboy-style vittles, Bible-readin’,
playin’, and maybe even some pickin’ and grinnin’. Plan to
stay two nights out on the range, do a little cowpoke work
(feeding your horse), lots of trail ridin’, camp cookin’,
and plan to have a good-ol’ fashioned fun time!
Sorry,
but weight limit is 225 lbs.
Your young'uns must be 9 or older (no
exceptions) to participate. Everyone should wear jeans. |
