 Camp
Peniel established a Campership ministry to help
families who would not otherwise have the opportunity to
send their child to camp. Due to the generosity of our
donors, hundreds of families have received financial assistance.
The goal of the Campership ministry is to leverage a
finite amount of funds so that the maximum number of
children may receive help. Parents and legal guardians
of children seeking assistance are encouraged to do all
they can to pay for as much of the camping experience
possible. It is expected that every family who
benefits from a summer camping experience should make
some investment, with very few exceptions.
Every summer more than 100 children
receive some form of financial assistance. These
children came from foster families, children’s homes,
and families with financial struggles.
The cost to support a full Campership is $485. Donors
are welcome to make gifts of any size, and every cent
goes directly to help a child attend camp, with nothing
being held out for administrative or fund raising costs.
All gifts through the Campership program are eligible to
receive the maximum income tax deduction allowed by law.
